OCSiAl

OCSiAl is headquartered in Luxembourg and is the world’s largest producer of single wall carbon nanotubes (TUBALLTM) and is the only company with scalable technology for their industrial synthesis. TUBALLTM has unique properties – high electrical and thermal conductivity, strength, and high length-to-diameter ratio.

Role in the project:

OCSiAl will contribute to developing safe-by-material design strategies for water-based graphene-carbon nanotube hybrids (Si-based anodes). In addition, OCSiAl will provide these materials for testing of the effectiveness of the safe-by-material design modifications (WP2) as well as for providing case-study-specific information for modelling purposes (WP3), and for developing and testing the grouping and read-across approaches (WP4). OCSiAl will also participate in the project’s Industrial User Committee and will support the testing of the usability/feasibility of the SIA e-infrastructure from an industry perspective (WP1). In addition, OCSiAl will contribute to the stakeholder engagement, dissemination, and exploitation activities of the project (WP8).
