The Ca' Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE)

The Ca' Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE) has an internationally outstanding reputation of academic excellence in both research and teaching. Founded in 1868 as the first Italian high school devoted to commerce and economics, it has grown and developed new relevant subject areas and nowadays is composed of 8 Departments.

UNIVE has long experience in coordinating international projects, e.g. the large-scale FP7 projects SUN and the MC IRSES GLOCOM, as well as in leading WPs in several EU funded projects, e.g. H2020 RiskGONE, BIORIMA. Furthermore, UNIVE also gained experience in dealing with multicomponent nanomaterials used in the field of cultural heritage within the H2020 NanoRestArt and APACHE projects.

Role in the project:

UNIVE will contribute to (1) the physicochemical characterisation of the intrinsic and extrinsic properties of the pristine and S&SbD-modified MCNMs (WP2), and (2) the identification of unique properties and interactions of the MCNMs for the purpose of similarity assessment, grouping and read-across (WP4).
