Post doc position available: Research Officer IVTG (swansea.ac.uk)

The research officer will be based in the Institute of Life Science that hosts a wide range of research activity
in state-of-the-art facilities on the Singleton Campus of Swansea University. They will support research
activity in the In Vitro Toxicology Research Group (IVTG), carry out primary research involving patients (and
in vitro cell models) and help supervise PhD, Masters and BSc students. The post holder will carry out patient
focussed cancer research, collecting tissue samples from patients at Singleton hospital and processing them
in the laboratory for mutational endpoints. The post holder will also carry out mutation research in vitro
(using cell-based 2D and 3D systems). The post holder will oversee the ethical and research governance
aspects associated with the patient-based research.
